A business owner turned bookkeeper
Max here!
I majored in art in France before moving to the US in 2012, where I continued my career as a design business owner (graphic designer, UX/UI designer, UX researcher, Service Designer, UX Strategist).
I am also a writer: I published my first book, “You (don’t) Suck,” a hybrid memoir, in 2022 and just finished the second draft of my new memoir “Becoming Max.”
I decided to move upstate NY in 2025 after living in Brooklyn for 13 years, to find peace and quiet and start a slower life. No regrets!
After 20 years of owning multiple companies, I founded Creatives Bookkeeping to fill the gap for affordable, reliable bookkeeping support for small business owners and freelancers who don’t have the time, expertise, or will to manage their own books.
I provide monthly bookkeeping, catch-up/cleanup, financial reports, payroll, and related financial support to small businesses and solopreneurs, especially in the creative industry (artists, designers, small agencies).
I help clients maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records so they can make informed decisions and stay compliant, without the cost of hiring in-house staff.
My mission is to give small business owners clarity and confidence in their finances through reliable, personalized bookkeeping and creative industry expertise.
You can find me in the Spring at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, surrounded by relaxing bluebells.
